Yes...but its just to reinforce the chainstays....the two in combination will be stiff enough (i'm hoping)

Well...I just needed something slender to slide into the bamboo. Aluminum chainstays would be sweet though! I might try that on the next one

oh....havent played hockey in like 6yrs (always had aluminum) are they expensive?
I could always just make my own carbon stuff too

Yes, in the range of 100-500. If you do end up going carbon, then definetly do it yourself.

ive seen them for like 75 bucks to 250...the used to be 500...
