Rainy season has just started, so the insects are going crazy and buffalo and having more fun than usual.

The change in weather has got me motivated to get out more with the camera.

There are loads of asian open billed herons arriving in the flooded rice fields, butterflies and huge black bees are all over the flowers.

I've been in a bit of a macro slump lately, but I've been shooting lots of birds! I've been shooting way more than I've been editing so I'm starting to get a pretty large backlog of unedited photos.

Did you know a group of butterflies is called a kaleidoscope? Anyway, loads of them behind my house right now. I had to creep up so carefully so they didn't all take off.

Very lucky shot yesterday. Not sure what bird this is but it was tiny, about the size of a wren. It was flying through the rice and i only found it because i saw the rice move.

Yeah this is awesome! I saw a ton of these when I was in Cambodia last week. Beautiful!

This little thing had to be rescued from my washing machine. So glad my wife didn't find it, she would have freaked!

I've seen loads of white squirrels this year.

Not a great shot, (it was dark), but i'm happy to get a butterfly in flight.

I took this about 800m from my house. Smile
