Threw on the FSA grid take offs from mine onto my daughter’s. They’re quite a bit lighter than the stock Marin cranks. Installed a KS dropper and PNW loam lever as well.

2022 Marin Alpine Trail XR

2022 Alpine Trail XR

Upgrades
- We Are One Union Wheels with I-9 hubs (set up tubeless)
- We Are One Da Package bar and stem
- Maxxis Agressor rear tire 2.5
- One up flat pedals

She's a bit chunky at 33lbs but pedals well and charges on the downs. Stoked!

I just couldn't get use to the stock brakes so I bucked up for some 4 piston Shimano XT. What a huge upgrade!

Lol I only now just just noticed your build spec. You’re running 29” on a 27.5” frame? Didn’t think that could be done? How does it ride? Any mods you had to do to get it to fit?

You’re either misquoting specs or I need coffee lol. They’re 27.5 inch in diameter and 29 inch wide?

Lol that makes sense. You were using the symbol for inches (“) which was throwing me off lol.
