Oh dear. RIGHT.

Cases.

Cases come in 3 main sizes. Full, Mid and Small form factor. You want a Mid tower case. Mid towers can fit multiple expansion cards (normally 7) and ATX form factor motherboards.

ATX form factor is a size of motherboard, this is the most widely used size for enthusiast PC systems.

the amount of ram you've been mentioning is not needed, the MAX you want is 12GB, any more is a waste, you also want a Dedicated graphics card.

Give me a budget, and ill piece a system together for you, appropriate for editing.

I would prefer:

Lots of ram
Very fast processor
Best graphics possible!

Can increase budget.

Can increase budget.

Get 18GB of RAM then. But really, I rarely max my 12GB and I do some pretty intense stuff.

i7 processor. Only way to go.

You'll want a good graphics if you'll be doing video editing...like mine!!!

18gb of ram and an i7 on a £1000 budget? no chance.

THANKS!

Liking it,

But...

Not enough ram.
Processor not fast enough.

I know it could handle alot but some of these films are 3 hours long.

I was wondering how much more I would need to add to budget to get

More ram (I.e 16gb or Sumet)
Faster processor.

EDIT: I actually can't see on that list how much ram its got...

12GB @ 1333Mhz = a lot.
Are you editing these videos? by the looks of things you can't keep focused on one thing for more than a day, can you really do long edits without getting fed up?
