Anyone would know the bearing specs for taniwha ? I am thinking of replacing mine but shipping costs form Zerode is doubling the price... There are plenty of specialised bearing shops and Im thinking they might just be as good; just need to know the specs.

Tried asking Rob directly? I mean, it's the biking equivalent of showrooming, but I don't think he'll care tbh.

They look great, and would be a nice upgrade however they are pretty hard to justify at that price. Hopefully he can work on the price and I'd be interested.

They aren't cheap but they're comparable, even slightly cheaper, to similarly light carbon options from RF and SRAM which, considering these are hand made to order, is pretty impressive. Be interested to know at what price would you be interested?
I made a snap decision over the weekend and picked up a cheap second hand 200mm coil boxxer fork with the idea of experimenting with my taniwha in "full DH mode".
I'm now wondering how dumb that was...before you tell me, consider that I'm currently running a 170mm fork with a 0.5 degree offset bearing without any issue.
So...is this a completely ridiculous thing to do? Please share.
I wish they would come out with an affordable DH bike with a trigger shifter for the pinion!
would be sick eh!?!? wonder how much weight they could cut out without requiring the massive 600% range...
trigger shifter I'm OK without. I run the rippergripper kinda sloppy with a bit of play so it's harder to knock through one on impacts...thanks to an average tune job that turned out to be kinda good
