sam hill is the best hands down!! watch out for him next year going to kill gee and peaty

you imbersil!

yes samhill may well be good, but he isnt the best.

he takes amazing lines that noone else would ever think of. however its not constant winning is it. sometimes he seems to get to cocky, just as this topic shows. he wanted to cut the corner instead of using the little berm like gee and peaty used to get round the corner.

therfore this cant make sam hill the best as he isnt always winning "hands down"

Rant Over!

thanks Sam
and yes i agree with the dude above me aswell

I stopped reading here.

Sam's run was undoubtedly awesome, but DH is all about putting together the run, from start to finish. Saying Sam was the true winner of the day is wrong. Had he finished, yes, but the point is that he did, and Gee didn't. To my mind, Gee deserved the win every bit as much as Sam would have if he'd stayed on his bike.

Sam Hill crashed because he was taking a different, sketchier line around the corner to everyone else and was pushing the grip of his tyres too far on that corner.

He nearly had exactly the same crash in his qualifying run but managed to ride out of it that time - check out this clip at 2:34 and again at 3:15 in slo-mo.
