I do my fair share of questioning religion... Right now in my life I don't see it fitting in with where I'm at and thus I've drifted away from the church... I have just never shared this on pinkbike so I guess you guys think I'm all religious...

Also I defend religion because I went to a private school most of my life so I know where they are coming from and am really sick of some of the demonizing that is going on...

I'm not.... Sure I had to take all these bible classes but I'm much better off for it.... It definitely challenged me more academically... Public high school courses were a breeze and I didn't even really learn much... Private school cause me knowledge and a good work ethic...

No it doesn't. Evolution does not explain how life began.

He's been exposed to more. The more you are exposed to, the more "open" your mind is.

Vince nailed it... and this may sound arrogant but I do get higher grades than the average american student... and I believe its cause the private school is more difficult and challenges you more...

I should also make it clear... I haven't studied just christianity... I've done world religions and islam and so many other religious courses in between

But does correlation equal cause? You probably know best, but you could just be naturally smart tup
I know a few people that are dumb as rocks that go to catholic schools. For example I know a kid who thought the big bang was a porno movie. So personally I don't really think that for most people, going to a private school makes you smarter (doesn't necessarily make you dumber either though). But once again you would know best about yourself...

I believe intelligence is part genetics part learned... I could be naturally smart but I don't think my work ethic would be as prominent is it was if I went to a public school and I based that the fact that ALL of my teachers took a personal interest in actually teaching me... It makes sense after all... you pay more for a better service... and the fact that it exposed to me to a lot more I'm sure helped as well... Fortunately I grew up and was kinda a rebellious kid so I questioned what I thought to be false... I was a bible teachers worst nightmare...
