Mines the D2 Carbon Steve Peat Edition, works like a charm.

Has anyone ever washed the padding inside the D2?
i know you can wash the cheek pads but the inside of my lid is still a lil black ?
any ideas?

You can throw the cheek pads and head portion in the washer and let air dry. The chin straps need to be washed by hand as they aren't removable on the D2.

how do i remove the head portion?

Just pull it out. It's attached with velcro.
