Anyone here ever put on a eye to eye and stroke shock different than the stock size? From what I remember, finding aftermarket shocks of same dimensions is quite difficult.

8.75x2.75 is pretty common.

You can put an 8.5x2.5 and get 6" travel, same as a 6Point.

Oh sweet, I'll probably go with 8.75 x 2.75 to be easy.

They're both common sizes.

True. I meant that I want to keep 7" without having to find a 9.0 i2i shock. I already own a 6point actually, going to be switching the parts from that to my 7point frame to have a freeride bike then buying a lighter trail bike (my 6point is 37 pounds).

I heard someone saying that some IH bikes need "special bushings" to mount suspension, but maybe he was just talking about that certain shock... Anyone have any insight?

I am not aware of any special bushings for the shock. I have changed my shock and it was not an issue.

so im looking to replace my bash/guide combo for one like this Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://images-cdn.ecwid.com/images/217371/62702452.jpg but this is 150$, but mrp has cheeper guides(80$) that don't have the bb bracket mounts. does anyone know of any other companies that have good bash/guide combos for a better value?

I've got an 06 7point and am in need of bushings. Enduroforkseals seems to only have hardware for 2007+ 7points. Anyone have any suggestions?
