What marzocchi fork are you running and rate it

Hi All

Anyone know some good base settings for my Marzocchi 380 C2R2? im 185 pounds and do a mixture of tech and bike park jumps, want to find a happy medium so I don't need to faff too much flicking between settings?

What spring rate are you running? At 185, you should run the firm (6.5) spring if you're a relaxed rider, or a x-tra firm (7.5) spring if you're any bit aggressive. Always should be #1 priority.

Rebound should always start at half open, then 2 clicks either way until you're comfortable. Start with LSR, then do the HSR after. I always had LSC 6-10 clicks from fully open, and HSC was usually 3-4 clicks from fully closed. Found that was the best "middle ground" setting for a mix riding day.

I am looking at upgrading my Sr Suntour Xcr to a Marzocchi Bomber Z2. Can someone tell me if that would be a good upgrade or should I look for something else. Also maybe some tips and tricks for it.

The new z2 or the old z2? Hell of a difference between the two. If its the old one then I would stick with the Suntour but if its the new one then definitely a great upgrade. Would have to ensure the steerer is suitable for your frame as is the axle type for your wheel.

Yeah the new one. I have a tapered steerer and 15 x 110 boost axle

You should be golden then dude, hell of an upgrade over your current fork. In terms of setup, Fox have pretty good base settings based on your weight which are a good starting point for setting it up.

Always lusted over the shivers, nice fork! why would you need to replace the springs? are they broken in half? Oil is 7.5wt, motorex pretty much the best oil out there, tons of online shops have it.

Springs I'm not sure on, eBay best hope. As for oil I personally use rock oil from CRC 7.5wt. Oil is always a personal choice as each behaves differently

Probably 2008, definitely not older than that. Looks like the lowers have been painted, would be concerned about damage hidden by that. Those are the base rcv model, with ultra crude pumping rod orifice dampers.
