I don't know why anyone would run a 26" wheel for anything other than DH or XC. They roll better, thats it. They have nothing more to offer. On flat groung they do not offer better top speed, that is your gearing, they are flimsy and slow. You 26" riders can argue with me all you want but thats the way it is. I have ridden 20-24-and 26" so I do know what What I'm talking about....

Its all about preference. ditch your "I'm right, you're wrong mentality"
i have a 2008 p1 and with the 26's on now when i turn i scrape my pedals on the ground when ever im doing sharp turns and i dont think 24's would be a good idea
But I am right.... No, seriously give me one reason 26" wheels are better? 24s are lighter (all things being equal) hugely less rotating mass, stronger and stiffer. That pretty much covers riding in general. Granted 26s roll better over bumps so if you ride XC you would be stupid to run 24s. Now some frames don't work well with 24s but that is not to say 26s are better. 26s do offer more stability, that is the only thing they offer to DJs.
every one who is telling him to put twofours on it has never ridden and 07/08 p1/2 with twofours, i have and they are awsome feeling except the cranks are truley to low to the ground, if lou lean even slightly on an angle pretty much they will clap the ground, i recently switched back, cause it really does put the cranks too low, the bike is designed for dual 26, it rides nicest that way,
who is stupid enough to pedal while leaning in a corner I would go with 24's if i were you because the do dirt jump a lot better. the difference between the two is that 24's get you going a lot quicker and the 26's go faster once your up to speed. so 24's = acceleration and 26's = better top speed. that is my
and lets say he goes into a dh ht race then hes raped cuz he cant peAL IN CORNERS..

but having more stability can make u spin with more control
