To really slow rebound down if it still tops out harsh I packed my old DJ3 fairly full with grease, not enough that it wouldn't have free movement but more than just coating could a pumped grease in as that is what slows the elastomer down for dampening.

Do you pack the whole fork with grease? Lowers and uppers?
