my friend got the argyle 409 brand new for 420 cnd from a shop in Ontario (he got a deal) in the lambert cyclles book they are about $651 for the 318 but most shop will drop around $20. Maybe it was $1000 becasue he had to get a new hub and spokes and pay for labour but either way he was ripped off

iive seen the argyle 318 for abouit $420 and the 409 for about $550

Ya, it may not be 1100, but it is pretty close. as of last year, a DJ2 was listed in the norco catalog for $900+, and that is without tax. The argyle 318 is listed for $640 in Norco's catalog, but because it is the end of the season, you can probobly find it for much cheaper.
