I dont get it who is going to pay 20.000 grand for a bike 5 or 6 ok but 20.000 blows my mind. The tech on that machine cant be that expensive can there be that many euro trash deep pocket posers to sell those things to?

Inverted forks... well I bloody love them, i've been using them on and off for 8yrs now. The best thing about them are that your lowers are always lubricated unlike your standard forks. Also there super plush.
Out of all the forks that I rebuild in a season, I'll put more bushings and seals in the same standard fork than an inverted fork. Yes inverted can be a little flexy, but I have seen standard forks that are even worse.
As for those Showa forks or were they Kayaba forks on the Honda, you might be able to get them. There is alot of oversea stuff out there from asia and europe that we might never see here in north america. Meks is on that comes to mind, they made a nice looking invert that was double disc (if any cares about that) and carbonfiber uppers like the manitou, but I couldn't understand his japanese english on telling me what the fork was all about, inside and out. I wish I got one too demo and see how it work...
