I thought most rockshox super deluxe shocks fit in the sentinel alloy - it was one of the coil shock options I was looking at getting. If it had had the hbo option it would have been the shock I’d have gone for in 205 x 57.5 to use with a 2022 alloy sentinel.
The main shocks that can have issues are the Marzocchi bomber cr and the Dvo Jade as they have very long piggybacks.
I concluded a dhx2 / Jade X / Kitsuma coil / Ohlins / ext would all fit.
Does anyone know if the rock shock SD ultimate will fit on the V2 carbon with cascade link?
Their fitment page says it will as long as it is the 57.5mm version. https://cascadecomponents.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360055051652-Frame-Shock-Compatibility-for-the-Transition-V2-Sentinel-TRS2-1000-
Have any of you tried installing a 205x60 in a transition sentinel alloy with the cascade link? I always read people with 205x65 in cf or 205x57,5 in alloy, but nobody with 205x60
I thought it had to be 57.5mm stroke on the v2 alloy sentinel with cascade link.
Incidentally I’ve run the standard stroke shock (Fox x2) on my v2 carbon with cascade link and I found I got a load of pedal strikes. That was with 170mm cranks.
I’ve had the stroke reduced on the X2 at the same time as getting it serviced and upgraded to 2024 bits and at 57.5mm I think the bike rides a lot better. Eliminated the pedal strikes and the travel feels pretty bottomless.
