Didn't quite get there in 2023 even with a good amount of commuting. Would like to get 100 days of mountain biking/trail building in this year and maybe 100 commutes. I don't know if this is realistic given winter (but it is half the work days and two mtb rides a week on average).

Like my old place in Shaker Heights there was trail on my way to work I will have a similar situation now in Squirrel Hill. Could double up. But it was a bad idea to ride trails with a work computer, my clothes and my lunch in my backpark on a rigid single speed. Eventually I learned my lesson on that. Maybe it is time to forget that lesson.

1 - first Frick Park lap as a Pittsburgh resident. Iron Gate was deceptively dry and firm at top and should not have been ridden in the middle but was too late to turn back. 276 was in good shape.

1 - Starting the year off strong with a 34.73 km, 1320 meter ride from home, through Westwood, down Fawn Frenzy into South Benson, lap of South Bensons Whole Duff top to bottom, back up to Westwood and some of the Westwood goods to get myself back home.

Cannot believe how amazing the dirt is considering the time of year. 2024 brought the goods

2 - 650m over 15km. Really fun ride, before some thunderstorms rolled through in the arvo.

Hoping for 200+ again this year. It makes it a bit hard with the Swedish bike season only stretching from mid April to November but let’s see what happens.

Holy! No thanks on being stung by that thing. Maybe it’s good luck? Like being pooped on by a seagull haha

Ha ha well my wishing wasp here was about 15mm long which actually makes it quite small.

Went in the side of the bike helmet and stung at least once, anthisan cream, icepack and ibuprofen barely controlled the pain!

Phew. Internet lore says that WD-40 worksSmile . I used antihistamines for my kid when they got stung years ago.
