So, I got all the new stuff, including a new fork, I went for the Dirt Jumper 2 -07, couldn't afford an Argyle.
I did remove my front brake, felt really sweet without it!
And, I got new pedals as well, Shimano DX Smile

But, and it is a big BUT, the bike weights 15,5kg or 34,2 pounds!
I've been thinking of ways to remove some of that, and here are a my ideas:

- Cutting the seatpost
- Switching to other tyres, like Table Top

Perhaps I might change the rear brake for an Avid Juicy 3, but I don't now if thats lighter or heavier than the BR-M495's?
Please don't tell me to get new wheels, just got these after 3 months without riding, you're making me sad Frown

Do not get the Juicy 3. It will not be too good. Save your hard earned cash and buy a Juicy 5.

* XC race tubes
* I-beam combo (CRC has it for about $90CAD (or whatever currency using). It's usually 2/3 of a regular combos weight (with a 14" post)

There isn't much more cutting useful weight. You could get some new cranks, such as Gravity Light from FSA.

XXX are great tyres, but heavy as the tread runs from bead to bead. Try the Schwalbe Tabletops, developed by Timo Pritzl on the YZO, they are light and grippy, if a lil expensive. I run a timo on the front with a XXX on the back- GREAT!
