^^^^^ that looks like a solid deal. Its 2 grand and its mechanic owned. I'd just find a good used bike on pinkbike if I were you.

Ok man here is the deal. Transition is the only way to go and if I were you I would go for the best all-round bike on the market... The Bottlerocket. It is super heavy duty and reactive at the same time.
2000 doller budget not 1300 doller frames ?

buy a 7 point. great freeride and you can do dh. I race mine, and it works fine.

You guys on this site seriously want to suck Transition's dick. Like yeah, they're great bikes. But also, they cost a hell of a lot more than 2000. Seriously, every "what bike do i need" thread on this site ends up with the poor kid thinking he's gonna be a top notch slopestyle rider as soon as he jumps on the bottlerocket he'll get brand new for 2000.

No. Alright, you can get a Bottlerocket, but in most cases they will run you (far) upwards of 3 grand. For 2 grand you can get a great FR bike that's not too shabby component wise. The Kona Stinky is a great freeride bike with seven inches front and back. You could look for an Atomik, but you probably won't find one as they went pretty fast from the distributers.

So look for a BigHit, a Stinky, an older RM switch, or a different used bike.

Just because a bike doesn't run top of the line components doesn't mean it won't work for you the way you want it. I've run a full LX setup on my XC race bike for three years and have not replaced anything.

Two really nice all round bikes are the giant Reign X series. There are 3 reigns, one is about $3400, then $2200 and the lowest is about $1800. Deffinatly look at those. They are a solid 6.7 inches of travel. My friend has one and they are good for dh, dirtjumping, everything. http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-ca/bikes/mountain/1746/30720/

And anonother super nice bike is the commencal Supreme Mini Dh. There is 3 in that series this year too. They have the 09 line up there too, but personally, i like the 08's better. Have a look at all 3 of the mini DH's there super nice. They are 6.5 inches of travel. Also very good all round bike. http://www.commencal.com/news/index_en.htm
