i had the BB5's for the almost 2 years. i ran a BB7 for about a month and a half before i broke the mounting bracket on it (which was entirely my fault). super great brake. you can pretty much mount them and forget about them. i ran the same pads for 2 years and they still felt the same. easy to adjust and overall the best brake i've tried.
I LOVE EM, Easy to use, less to go wrong, not that heavy , vvv good stopping power, Love that much purchase the 09's for my DMR,,,,

i have them there awsome....i got them from rbikes for like 50$ The only thing is i set them on the ground and the leave broke that all... probably my fault... and if your gunna dh with them its fine only do it once though cuz now i need new pads but other wise there awsome
Its the same brake as far as I know, the only difference being that the BB7 has an external adjuster that's obviously more convenient to adjust on the go. In terms of performance I didn't feel any significant difference.
