obviously try not to destroy too many large roots and root systems. yadda yadda yadda. then pretty much all of the above...plus LOTS OF WATER to pack it.
where im building theres alot of kudzu, which is like the most ground covering ivy plant ever. at anyrate theres TONS of roots ive found taking a hard landscape rake and swinging/sweeping across it just enough to snare and tear it up. i then go back through and with the same rake hit like a bastard. its time consuming and hard work but so what.
