get the marin. I have a 08 mount vision and never had problems. the suspension works really really good.

well if freeride is your game then of the two the patriot would be the one to get

the marin will not take the abuse the orange can handle

i had an orange and the things i did with it....WOW

the marin will be better on the uphill but the speed and fun factor on the way down will not be anywhere in the same league as the orange

a good all rounder but be a 7-8" travel fsr bike as they pedal quite nicely even at silly weights

but again of the two you are considering and if freeride is what you will be doing in the broadest sense then the answer is a patriot

I'm getting the marin, thanks for all your help. I think this bike will suit my riding style and I'm reasonably smooth on the bike so I don't think it'll get broken.Big Grin
