I enjoyed riding in Llandegla last summer. Being used to lift access trails like at Winterberg Bike Park, Germany, I never thought you could have so much fun without a lift.
Llandegla's an XC route, the freeride park isnt ready yet and neither is the duel slalom. However the pump track and skill section (which includes a few small dirt jumps) are ok but dont bring a DH bike waaaay too heavy
i think you would probs be better off with your jump bike you will have a lot more fun there is some pretty fast flowing dh runs on there would go good on a hardtail i think (im assuming you got some pretty decent suspension, brakes and gears here) i went out with tank aswell^ and i went round on my all mountain and someone had a giant glory and walked most of the trail so i wouldnt advise the dh at all it would ruin your day a little bit
I've seen people do it on Iron Horse Sundays, Specialised big hit/sx trail etc. As lomg as you're fit enough, the bike isn't an issue. But hardtails are still much better at llandegla as it does make it a lot easier.
