Sooo... heres the deal. Im looking to get a pair of used skis for the upcoming ski season. I have never owend any skis but i have rented a bunch in the past. So im looking for more of a all mountain ski, and in my search i have fond tons od freeride skis. So i was wondering, would a twin tip freestyle ski work as a all mountain ski, being used mostly on piste and rough stuff on the side, And also the occacional powder. I havent really done much in the terrain parks but would also like to give that a try too. I am a innermediate to advanced rider, and plan to progress alot this season as it is t
he first time i have bought a season pass.

I would also like to hear any reccomendations as to what lenghth i should look for. Im 5foot 9 and a half and weigh 130 lbs. I have heard many mixed things about length, most things i have read put me at about 167 or 170, but some people have rccomended me much shorter. Thanks for any imput, anything can help!

Anywhere from 168-178 would be ideal for you, just depends if you like a shorter or longer ski. If you plan on high speeds and want more stability, go longer. If you take your time and like to jib around, go shorter. A shorter ski will also be better for learning in the park, because they can be maneuvered a bit easier.

I'm a huge fan of the ON3P Jeronimo's, they pretty much have the best durability of any ski out there. Check out the Line Blends or Chronics too, and the new Armada Alpha X's.

That doesn't mean you can't be picky about what you buy. Check out http://www.newschoolers.com/ns/forums/forumthreads/cat_id/8/

I'm 5'9 and they would be almost perfect for me. They might be a big short but unless you're skiing pretty deep stuff they will be fine.

You said you were 5'9 before haha, im guessing you mean 5'11 when you're done growing. I would strongly recommend against 161's, those are going to be like noodles on your feet. go 170+, like these:

What about these, read some really good reveiws on them and their supposed to be a good all mountain ski too, but do you think he is selling them for too much? They were posted two months ago.

And here is a link to a description and many reviews of just the skis-

They're even shorter than the elan's, and he's asking too much for them. The elan's are a much better deal

Alright thanks, the only prob with the Elans is there 4 hours away though. I just happened to find these though, for some reason they haven't ever shown up before. They look like a crazy deal but i don't know what model they are, cause there not listed. Pretty sure there stolen but still. They look really nice-

Those would be nice. Chronics are supposed to be awesome. I'd check them out.
