My bike looks alright with a Kingpin on it, I need to get lower rise bars though.

Hooray for ignorance.

The Kingpin isn't mine, I'm borrowing it, it doesn't have the seal problem.

Why would I buy a Pike? I'm looking for a fork with 150-200mm travel, preferably dual crown so it feels stiffer.

Nice! Acctually its funny you mention the stiffening upo....that happened this past weekend...We just took the fork home and rebuilt it and its butter now. I dont intend to keep the fork long anyways....Im gonna gte a 888 or boxxer for my HT(Banshee Morphine) as soon as i get the $$$ together.

manitou is called manipoo for a reason.
I blew out my swinger 4-way last week.. Frown
i'd rather have a drop-off triple than a kingpin.. actually just get a shiver.. i have one and it's way suppler than a nice big tit/888 and it's cheaper like $300 for an '02

Well, I'll be putting a 888RC on this bike soon.

The Kingpin is fine, I wouldn't mind having to ride it, it's no problem for me to drain the damping leg and re-fill it once in a while. Maybe the 2006 Kingpin is nicer? I'm not a fan of Silver Stanchions though?

It's a very smooth fork, almost no stiction at all. It's lighter than the 2004 DJ3 I was riding... could use a little better damping, but from what I was told is that it was re-valved... the internals looked pretty "factory made" to me though.
