Bought tickets for a few gigs that I'm hoping will sell out so I can make a bit of money. If it works I'll be getting these;;

Nice choice hows the bass and treble on these things? Im considering getting them
People might hate me but whatever. When I was considering buying big headphones, they were the first one I went to because everyone was saying they were the shit. So here I go to my nearest Grado Dealer. Where there is pretty much none noise in the room (which was a home theater display room) So, here I go, plug my ipod simply to see what's the sound like.. sound was halfway up, and I could CLEARLY here my dad speaking, it felt like the music was going everywhere except in my ears. It was pretty weird, they weren't making much noise but I could hear everything going on around me. the fact that they are kind of an open design. so as soon as they is noise around. you will hear it.

They have a pretty even frequency response - bass has a nice punch to it without being too boomy (so maybe not for hip-hop so much), and the mids and highs are pretty open and clear with a good amount of detail (though the K 701s will be much better in this regard).

Yes, they're open back headphones. Open headphones typically have the clearest sound and punchiest bass (it's related to air movement), whilst closed headphones tend to have a more muffled sound (with the advantage that they help block outside noise). You have to consider the listening environment when you buy a pair of headphones though - if you're going to use them in a house or studio, open is the way to go (except for certain studio applications). If you'll be listening to them in the plane, bus, etc., closed headphones makes the most sense (the sound will be clearer through closed headphones in this case because there will be less interference from background noise). You can also get semi-open headphones, which are a good balance between the two and are the most versatile. You generally won't get the clearest sound / bass nor the best noise isolation, but they work well in most environments.
Considering getting some earbuds, wireless. As my apple earbuds are decent but the cords are a pain when. you need to take them out and put them back in. I've looked at the skull candies. need something that'll stay in when riding. Any suggestions? don't want to go crazy expensive.
