FM10 and 50 1.2 are both being sent to me tomorrow, can't wait to see what that lens can do. Also start the film part of my class next week so will finally get to learn to use the darkroom. A good week for my film shooting for sure.

Rad! The 50 1.2 is a beautiful lens.

Yeah I think the extra stop is going to be a big help in a lot of situations. Plus I'm getting rolls of Illford XP2 for £2 each from college as it's what we have to shoot with, hopefully they'll let me take a few extra rolls at that price!

Just got some rolls of discontinued APX 100. It looks like a rad film from searching around on the internet.

If you guys were shooting bike-tography on a medium format camera, what would you recommend as a minimum shutter speed for freezing most action? Panning and so on is obviously not really an option with a GX680 so freezing action it is...

I shoot film almost exclusively (Studying photography at Edinburgh College of art) with free processing, hassleblad scanning and access to darkrooms etc so am well grounded in techniques and so on. You can expect me to post up stuff on here from time to time.

You are going to need flashes. Im guessing it doesn't have a very high max shutter speed being a film camera, i know my AE1 maxes at like 1/500th. With flashes it shouldn't be too difficult and could be a great twist on regular bike work.

Don't know why I even asked to question because looking back over it only goes up to 1/250th. You can clearly tell I largely shoot studio and landscape work on it mostly.

Can hire out flashes and triggers from college so will investigate.
