quick question for everyone, im looking to get a bmx and im around 6ft 2/3" mark and i know bike size is all personal preference but would i find the bike totally unrideable if I got a 20" frame instead of something bigger like 21"+ as most complete bikes have a 20" tt.

cheers!
I'm 6'2 and can't ride anything under 21. I have a 21.2 at the minute and it's perfect for me although I would get a 21 if I was planning on riding more street than park.
A few of the better completes come in 21. If you can't find one that does look at finding a frame on sale or second hand and swapping the parts from the complete onto it.
Most mid range completes are oriented towards kids; hence the constant 20 and 20.5 sizing.
I'd also recommend you go 21+.
Keep in mind most frames these days use similar/the same standards. You could potentially get a complete, a new frame, swap it out, and only need to buy a new BB, if that.
Alternatively, some high end completes come in 21 and larger sizes. WTP envy springs to mind.
That Kink looks pretty nice if you can get it for that price. And it has some decent after market parts on it. The justice has a lot of hi-tensile steel parts like the bars so I would probably avoid it imo.
My Cult cost me about 650 because I stuck to deals and special offers and shopped around. The crank was off an old bike too which helped but I could have bought new ones and had the build come in at the same price because I paid full price for the fork and bars I wanted.
The wtp crysis is hands down one of the bests bang for your buck, my mate's been pretty solid, he DID buy because he really can't save up for shit but it's a solid bike and really well specced
Also I think I'll start to shop around and look for deals as a friend of mine wants to go back to biking and it's always fun to spec up bikes for the hell of it
Any opinions on those bikes for a beginner/someone who hasn't ridden a bmx bike in years.
I may have to spec up a custom build to just see the price difference. as I really like the look of the wtp buck frame in that trans red.
that trust in a 21 will be your best bet IMO its actually spec'd quite well as a mid level complete all the boxes i look for are checked full chromo frame bars and forks, and double wall rims made by a reputable brand... I know salt can take a bad rap but really Ive seen way way worse stuff on other main brand complete bikes at the same price point
Ive cracked or bent every salt part ive ever owned
Are you getting the oem shit or the salt aftermarket parts? Also it's not the best shit but for the price to quality it's pretty good. Also from what I remember their clear brake pads don't f*ck up as bad as other companies.
