Well there's a huge difference between free market vs. decentralization.
Decantralization is "free market" in the proper sense. ie. No Rules. It creates the most wealth but also the most poverty and extreme unequality.
Free Market is where every individual can do whatever they want with the markets under the rules. Ie. what we have in Canada right now.
I still think socialist theory can be better added to the free market for greater equality (ie. tax the rich more severely) but ever since my trip to the Ukraine I can't think of Communism seriously.
When I (and probably most people) say free market we are thinking the freedom to trade/buy/sell goods and services without any restriction. From a libertarian stand point that applies to social issues as well like abortion, drugs, whatever. But of course there are things everyone can agree on like not murdering and stealing and stuff like that
