who is stupid enough to pedal while leaning in a cornerVery confused I would go with 24's if i were you because the do dirt jump a lot better. the difference between the two is that 24's get you going a lot quicker and the 26's go faster once your up to speed. so 24's = acceleration and 26's = better top speed. that is my 2 cents

You should be able to pedal while leaning into a corner. Just keep 26-26

26 and 26 looks better anyway...that's my opinion

but having more stability can make u spin with more control
But that obvoiusly doesn't help style out your sketchy 3sWink . Jk

Spinning slowly does not mean spinning with more control. With 26s it just takes longer to get around and then the wheels take more of a beating when you don't land smoothly. Also you should be able to peddal in corners, when I raced I had a PISS POOR gate start but could go from 4th to 1st in the first turn (actually did it a lot of times) If the frame is just too low for 24s then I would get another frame, seriously I would not even concider riding 26s. With 24/26 it slackens your head angle and IMO is a waste. Most BMX bikes have a 74.5 head angle most MTB frames are around 70. That is a huge differance. I made a BMX frame with a 73.75 head angle and every one who rode it thought it was way too slack. With 24/26 you are pretty much loosing a full degree, and for street/park even DJs they are too slack as it is.

O+

Because having a 24 in the back gives you better acceleration as well as better cornering. Having a 26 in front will help you roll over things better...so now you understand

My vote for 26/26! It's better than 24/24 or 26/24...I have tried all of this combinations and liked only 26/26.
Moreover 26/26 looks nice!

this isnt even worth debating! go 26" if you have this frame, its designed around 26" wheels. otherwise get a 24" specific frame. personally id build my own 24" bike. for park dirt and street theres no contest that 24" is the optimum wheel size for a mtb

easy choice! 26" no questions about it..

*24" is just a silly fashion*

24s are a silly fashion? I have been digging trails by myself alone in the woods for years, I don't get it where is the fashion thing? As for 26s being better, ok WHY??? you guys say theyre better but offer no reasons. And again there is NO DIFFERANCE in wheel size for acceleration, it's gear ratio. (other than the slight advantage of a stiffer wheel)

26/24 if ur smart 26 26 dosent give u a nice ride it jacks u up soo high and it feels gay with nice parts 24 24 is nice if ur into street but if u are into street and dj 2624 and with the 26/24 u can allways hit up the mountain becuase u still have an extra 2 inches up on the front it rides way better ur a goof if u go 26/26

it all depends on the jumps your rideing on. if they are not butter smooth to very lightly chopped up, go for the 26's b/c you can roll over stuff easyer than with 24's. i've ridden both 24's and 26's on my local dirt jumps which are kind of rough and the 26's are just plain smoother.

To run 26/24 you need a frame set set up for that. I believe Specialized bighits (certain year's, anyway) and demo 7's are set up for it. I tried it on my Norco Sasquatch and low and behold, with a 5" travel fork, the head angle was so slack I could barely get the bike off the ground bunny hopping. One thing that set up did, though, was make bombing singletrack a breeze; I'd hit corners at top speed and and the tires effortlessly hooked up in the scantest of berms. Leave the 24" s for frames designed to take it. It can be fun with 24 in back; a guy I know swears by the set up and uses his DH race bike with a 24 wheel and kills it. Just got used to the super - slack, almost chopper like head angle.
