how far is that trail from vic?
Cumberland is about 3 hours north of Victoria. There are so many trails here that if you haven't ridden here yet, you are in for a treat!! Check www.comoxvalleymountainbiking.com for maps and more trail pics. If you come up, let me know, this trail is not yet on the map so I'll give you directions.

Two of us got out on the warmest day of the year so far to build a new bridge across the lower stream. We needed it wide because of the entry / exit lines so the bridge is the corner. We opted out of a bermed bridge to allow hikers easy passage.

Solid stringers.

Starting the rock entry. Note the size of the rocks and the cedar foundation under the stringers for longevity.

Finished the logride exit up into a logdrop. I chopped out a bunch of slats from cedar butt cuts made three weeks ago and laid them to rest in a way more useful place.
