Dude how the hell did you get that bike at 42 lbs lol? I mean you're single speed, a rock shox pike (which is pretty light). I'm going to put a 66 RC2X on it and with an 8 speed cassette, shimano XT M772 derailleur, hucker frame, front 8" disc rear 6" with hayes mags and diabolus cranks with nokian 2.3 tires and the bike would be at about 37 lbs.

ya just weighed it it 41 almost 42 so i just rounded up btw double track rims are one of the heavyest rims out ther

Yeah that is true, and i know your frame is chromoly but still thats very heavy for a hardtail!

i use it for dh and fr so its fine gettin 08 domain 318 uturn so it will be heavyer

But domain will be much better though. Yeah i'm going to start DH next season hence why i just bought some 66 RC2X. Should get them in about a bit over a week.

It depends on the frame, you can easily have comparable aluminum and cromoly frames with a 2-3 lb difference.
