Lo-fis are great, two of my friends had them and they worked just fine and looked good. Anyways, back on topic.
I would go with the proper rear hub, I ride it personally and it's really good for the price. You get a pretty cool choice of colours, it's lightweight and strong. I haven't bent the axle yet and neither has anyone I've seen riding one.
As sad as this is to say, I think it will come down to a count flip for me.
Although I have been doing some thinking about the forces that would act on the 3/8 bolt. When comparing it to a 3/8 axle the entire axle would take the same hit on that area and bend. With the female system, would that force be transfer into the 14 mm axle so that it wouldn't bend?
I'm just trying to think this through for myself, because I do like the female system over a straight axle.
