It's not even a DJ. Thumbs Down

who cares. im proving a point. people upgrade for looks in every aspect of riding and its f*cking stupid. we have so many kids come into our shop asking for white bars. i cant take it.

its not the color, just the fact that they want to buy new shit when its only for color. their bars are fine. they are dropping 60$ plus on new bars that they dont need. its a trend thing.

i agree. to many people come into the shop i work at and ask for stuff that is good looking but weighs a ton. but with a DJ bike its not all about who has the lightest best preforming bike its about who gots the flashyest bike and like you said its all just a trend

OK I hear you. I agree that trendy is stupid. I build my own bikes and I put on what I want, not what is the hip thing of right now. Take my latest project - my Molly. I don't have anything trendy, color scheme is not trendy at all, etc. I wanted yellow and purple and went from there.

Just barely over 27.25 lbs. Every part was hand picked with the intention of riding first. Sure the Profile stuff is purple and "looks" cool IMO, but Profile hubs, stem and cranks are proven. Not a trend.

pivitol is trendy.... this reminds me of my bike, everything is different.

Without sounding hypocritical (and I probably am) I did grab Twisted PC pedals. I did so not because it is the rage, but because I use expensive 5.10 shoes that metal pinned pedals destroy. I would rather use $17 pedals and smash them than ruin $90 shoes every 6 months.

Pivotal is not trendy. It is light. And with a 25.4 clamp, I would rather go light. Alright maybe slightly trendy...

that is a pretty light bike and yeah purple is becoming trendy. i personaly like to have stuff others will think are ugly or a colours that are not trendy as much such as yellow and orange

i stick with genaric colors. like black. and when i get some money, im going for some lighter parts. like pedals, break levers, stem, and seat. im thinking strightline for all exept seat and going anodized TI for the break levers and anodized bronze for the rest (gos with the rear upper seat stay) and noone has bronze. lol
