V10 is way overkill. I'm racing DH this year with my 2008 Five-0 stock, I have a lot of spare parts though. If you have a v10 and you're going to lose races everyone will rip on you and make fun of you saying you got to much bike.

keep that and race for a year save up money and then get a full sus. riding a hard tail make you better a downhill. and you can save up money to get a nice bike like a v-10 or something elce..

If you want a bike that looks good just custom paint it. Lots of people on PB have great skills like obee1

id get a hardtail with a 130-140mm fork or like a 4-5 inch fully for beginners

the frame can take anything im hopeing on getting a fully though
