wanted an xc bike but managed to get a DJ bike very cheap so just adapted it!! keeps me fit on big xc loops! now have an on-one 456 frame so am in the process of rebuilding still single speed tho!

Umm actually there are fixie mountain bikes. Matt Chester makes some and some outfit called Smoke bikes, but they are rarer than rocking horse poop.

Having to ride my bike fixed when the free hub siezed I have found it to be very difficult (especially in rock gardens) and got my butt to the bike shop for a new free hub body pronto! But some seem to think it's the business and claim the only way to go sooo...there you go
