Why would you order from another shop if you work in one?
the distributor for the rims I want requires a £150 minimum order and we don't need that much stuff from them so it's wait for a few months for my rims to be ordered or buy them at another shop for a bit more money and get them quicker, it's a ball ache but hey I want my new fixed to be finished

idk about the distributors over in the UK but i know the BTI and QBP over here will take employee orders. they charge your card so your boss never sees an invoice and i don't think there is a min that you have to orders, you just have to cover the shipping. The package is still shipped to your shop tho. + i think they give you a % off it's a sweet deal! but again idk if your dist do things the same way and i have no idea what your boss would think of you doing this but most bosses shouldn't be too butt hurt since it's supporting your ridding and they don't have to deal with paying Your bill (you pay your boss - your boss pays invoice - waste of your bosses time in their mind)

its just this one company, and unfortunately i can't get the rims i want, at a good price from anywhere else, but its ok, as long as i have funds my rims will with me on Saturday then i'm a couple of contact points away from completion

Why do you hate radial?

purely aesthetics, not a fan, so they will both be built 3x (that and i've only ever laced 3x before)

I agree. The bar/stem would go, but the rest looks nice!

I like the bar/stem combo like, just 'cos it looks clean.

Just found these.
Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://cdn.mos.bikeradar.com/images/news/2010/02/11/1265900677146-1ep226hrebt3s-798-75.jpg A fixed/free hub, all you have to do is turn the odd flowery thing and it changes it over. A nice idea I think. But it's pretty steep, £170 quid Eek
And also this from the same company is a nice stem. Uses a seatclamp style thing to lock it in place.

Lacing Radials is about the easiest thing ever! Getting them round and straight is quite a bit simpler than a 3x. But you cant beat 3x strength.
