Stanton prices went 'through the roof' when they started UK production. a fair bit before brexshit an covid.....

UK production is always going to be more expensive due to labour and materials being way more than the far east.

Any Stanton riders can comment on sizing? I am 5'9" (175 cm) and the sizing is confusing. For example, on the Sherpa it was recommended I go to a 19" frame since I like to descend fast. ON the Switch9er I would be on the 16/16.5 frame size? Is the geo that much different?

A 19" frame sounds way to big for 5'9" I'm a little over 5'9" and ride 16.5 Switchback. I dont know why the Sherpa would be so different in sizing. If you like descending fast the Switch9er would be your best route and I hear its pretty versatile as well.

I’m 5ft 11” and ride an 18” switchback fs, so at 5ft 9” I’d recommend the 16.5”.

Can always ask them for custom geo? 16.5” seat tube and 18” reach for stability?

I’m 5’10” ride a 16.5” 9er Ti, find it perfect although I’m on the limit and some my size prefer the 18”, please consider that the stand over on both sizes is the same hence the 18 having the brace.

Had a 17” Sherpa, top tube was higher and it was shorter.

O+

5'10.5", 30” inseam chiming in, I got confused by the sizing too. When they had their sales before the administrators thing I ordered an 18" Slackline and an 18" Switch9er. The Slackline fits great, reach is good, stack is great, plenty of dropper (130mm fork & 2.4 tires). Super fun bike. I threw some wheels with 2.4 tires and a 150mm fork on the Switch9er and I couldn't stand over it. Perched on the saddle I could tell the bars were way to far for me, even with a 35mm stem.

Edit: I just re-read Will4X's comment about the standover height being the same on the 16.5" and 18". Based on that I would probably have the same short-legged problem with the 16.5" frame, so that's a me problem and not a reflection on the bike's geometry.

5’8” on an FS140 with the length of an 18.5, but the height of a 16.5. They are shorter than most modern bikes in their reach, so personally I think you should go the 18.5.

I'm a little over 5'9" and both my 16.5 Stanton hardtails fit great.

Besides height consider your leg length and reach. I'm 5'10 with 32' inseam and shorter torso so my 16.5 Switch9er Ti fits perfect. My buddy is 5'9 but has short legs and long torso so he fits an 18 on his Switchback Ti.
