Hey Alder, can you put the links up to the correct things I need? But they have to be kinda cheap?

no problem Wink
what is cheap though? and your ok with ebay yeh?
if ebay is ok id recomend shimano 105
brakes would probs be about £10
shifters about £90, or get tiagra for about £65
what sounds a good price?

Aggression found a good cassette there, dont get much cheaper on ebay than that. and cassette is probs one of the only things i suggest getting new.

bars, stem, seat post that sort of stuff i would recomend going to a shop to get done. they can easy try plenty to get the right ones for you, so you wont be buying loads till you get it right.

lol Redface I'm new to road biking, can you get a road bar with brakes on it?

Oh and where abouts do the gear shifters go on the drop bars?

Cheers Smile

hahaa alright mate.
they can go anywhere on the bar
you will have a rough idea of where they go just off seeing pics of road bikes but, as most things like that, its just personal preference and where you feel comfy.

once you put them on go for a ride before putting bar tape on to see if they're in the right place for you. if the tapes on dont worry too much because you can take it off again, or just tilt the whole bars a little bit Wink

Ok cheers mate, I'll buy the parts which I know can fit and the rest I'll ask my shop about, MTB'er going roadie is a whole different thing lol.

probly find the same with seats, you need a few rides to work out the right position for the drops and levers

also i think the brake levers with shifters in them are pritty costely, normal shifters on the top near the stem maybe?
