For anyone thinking of upgrading 2018 fuel ex with a 210x55 x2. There is zero clearance issues. Just got one mounted up and did the full suspension sweep. I added 3 pics in my pictures if you want to see. Going out tomorrow!

With the Fox X2, the body is quite large so there is a chance of it hitting the downtube under full compression. However, the Fox DPX2 would be a better fit and is offered in the same size as your stock length that we designed the bike around, 210x52.5mm. The DPX2 would be a great option if you're looking for more control on the rear end. The X2 is quite favorable for our Slash and Remedy users since it focused for enduro/DH riding.

Fox offers a tuning guide that we'd suggest using!

Hopefully Mitch can answer this one!

What hardware would I need to fit a DPX2 on a 2020 Remedy 9.9?

Does it matter if it’s not trunnion if it’s still 230x57.5?

For standard pin mounts, we have that hardware available for the Remedy!

Upper: 540755
Lower: 540755

Then you would just need the corresponding bushings from Fox to pair with your shock (60x10mm upper and a 50x10mm lower with a 10mm offset)

Thanks for the reply Mitch! Would these parts be the same if I went with the new Fox Float X that replaces the DPX2?

Hi guys, I’ve read through to check no one has already answered, sorry if I missed it! Thinking of getting a super deluxe/dpx2 for my 2021 ex 8 aluminium frame. I know the bottle cage could be an issue, but does anyone know if there is enough clearance between the piggyback and the downtube when fully compressed? Cheers

Don't mean to resurrect an old thread but thought it might be better to put my question on here.

What's the takeaway for a shock upgrade on a FEX 7 2021. Will it take the X2 or should instead do a Float X? My riding style is much more downhill so DPX2 is not quite what I'm looking for.

I'm currently noodling on this upgrade myself ( 2020 FEx 9.8 ), and it seems like if you have an aluminum frame, the X2 works. If you have a Carbon frame, you are limited to the DPX2 / Float X, or the Super Deluxe. I even found that Trek has a Thru Shaft version of the Super Deluxe listed on their website.

The X2 2022 will fit if you have a size M frame or bigger.

This is awesome, your fork and shock upgrades are basically the same i want to do. Can you still fit a bottle cage with the X2?
