Yeah, we are thinking of ways to combat that...

For example, we could use a minimum word count, or get a rating rating system going if that makes any sence...
i like the rsating system, and im sure the mods can probly be able to keep up with it to

I haven't read the whole thread but why would we want a new one? MTBR has a perfectly fine reviews section and it gets a bunch of people responding - not just pinkbike groms that might be very opinianated about their products that are 'amazing'. It'd also take up more bandwidth - which would mean more adds on the site - and nobody wants that. And if you really want to do a review of a part - blog it and send it to Tyler for the main page.

Couldnt you just put the adds at the bottom of the review pages? Plus you would have less stupid thread about what bike little timmy should get for his b-day. Im sure MTBR gets their share of groms putting up opionated reviews about their bike.

The ads are at the bottom of these pages.

Actually they don't. The lack of a visually appealing website discourages the n00bs from posting.

There will always be exceptions, but as a while, MTBR has a lot more knowledge than PB.

yeah, to name an example - xsl_will knows a bunch of stuff and he posts a lot of the dj forum

yea definitely i find the mtbr reviews suck and are pretty much a waste of time. it would be nice to have a site that actually took some care and made some good reviews rather than just a whole bunch of shitty ones. and who better to do that pinkbike.com!

A reviews section for pinkbike would be sweet. Im pretty sure as long as it is moderated as well as the rest of the forum, it could provide alot of useful information.
