bighit = fsr=sooo plush
kona = good price for the components

personally id go for the bighit, lifetime warranty man, unlike kona which only has 1 or 2 years, and they have a bad rep too

Brake feedback isn't even that big of a deal, really. Going from a bike with FSR (Specialized demo 9) to a single pivot (Santa Cruz Bullit) I hardly even notice it. Sure its a bit easier to skid, but it really is an overinflated problem, and not really that noticeable.

That said I would still rather have a Bighit than a stinky.

and yes i have ridden a kona before, wasnt a dual but it was a kona shread and i quite liked it, so sorry if this in some way offended anyone, and yer i would no the differnce between 2 bikes. oh and i like my hardtail, i like any ht cause imo there just sick

At first I thought Kona bashing was quite funny to watch everyone gang up on someone because there bike says kona on it, I may not particularly like them myself but the reason I don't like them is because they are using a faux bar which I'm not too keen on, everyone just jumps on the bad wagon these days and without any thought what so ever say kona suck hoping to get some satisfaction out of thinking they know some useful information. Not true!
