the 7000 series rim is prolly the lightest out there, im pretty sure its 15 sumthing ounces per rim
therean alienation rim out there (Deviant, front only) double wall that weighs in at 300 grams. thats 10.9 oz. Also, single wall rims can be just as light. Edit: Sun rim ENVY can be put on the rear... 401 g = 14 oz. Balance rim weighs 16.7 oz. Yes its the 7005. Yes I checked Primo's website.
I reckon alienation deviant, its curved so cant run a brake and a demolition bulimia for front. Ti spokes aswell lol and an odyssey p-lyte or khe mac 2 dunno bout back maybe alienation skylark with profile mini lol
Its too light/fragile. Lowering the weight always comes at the cost of strength. (Its been said, pick two: Low cost, strength, weight). The back takes way more abuse than the front, so the deviant rim can't stand up to such a huge amount of abuse. BTW I currently have the deviant rim on my bike. After removing the stickers, it weighed in at 295 grams
an extremely light wheel thts not to pricey either is an alientation deviant rim with a demolition bulimia hub with primo spokes n alloy nipples.. i just built tht wheel up and it weighs exactly 25.0oz=1.56lbs...you can make tht even lighter with ti spokes but i dont think 3 ounces will make a difference unless your an extreme weight whore
