what about rockshock pike are they any good

Obviously they're good, if people use them. RST is just as effective if you're not a pro-level rider, and they're like half as much.

So get the goddamn RST's. Space or even Launch (depends on what size hub you have on the front) will serve you a long and faithful life, if you're careful. I rode a whole summer doing noob street on a Launch T8 and it didn't crack, snap or anything.

Yes, it was heavy and yes it had rough damping, but it was stiff and saved my wrists doing drops and jumps.

And I DID jump on it, not too small either.

Still think Manitou Gold Labels. I've got a QR one and it comes stock really stiff and springy, so it helps with building your bunny hop technique (you mentioned you were a beginner). The white one looks pretty nice too. But choose the fork you like the most.

"Springy"

So what you're saying is it tops out really bad?

As a beginner, you shouldn't rely on the fork to do the bunnyhop for you. Learn the right way right from the start. Otherwise you will switch to a decently damped fork later and realize that you're not lifting your nose nearly enough, as the "springy" fork is gone and doesn't do it for you anymore.

no what I'm saying is the rebound is very tight on it so it "rebounds" very quickly.

If you want street forks you want rigids and if you want rigids you need Identiti rebate parks.
End of thread.
