Awesome dog. Just don't forget what someone else said earlier...If you get the dog as a puppy, keep it active, but don't run it too hard until it's at least 2. I had a lab (god rest her soul) who was great on the trail. Having man's best friend running through the woods with you is so much fun, especially when it's just the 2 of you. great way to build a good bond with your pet.

bad dog, bad dog, lol yeah but i'm sure if I taught him he would be fine. Nothing can be harder to look after than my jack russel terrier. That thing would get out and sprint as fast as he could any where.
I have a Patterdale terrier aka Black Fell terrier, which is like a north of England version of the Jack...bonkers dog, scared of nothing, pain in the arse, worth his weight in gold!

She pulls me on my scooter and ran down a total of 9,000 vertical feet in one day.
Yellow labs are the best!
