Sounds cool, the 2.4 is more for traction and all that but I really like the width. The smallest I'll go is 2.2 for the front, but I like the wider front bit to run less air. about 20psi

I do the same, I'm in TX too and in the Houston area it never really gets to cold to ride. But, I have used a wider tire up front since my BMX days, and it works well for turns. You really can take them tighter IMO with that wider tire up front.

I was thinking of a E13 DH Guidering later when I finish this ring. But, brakes I won't change till I get new wheels.

My goal is about 25lbs with a strong build.

Dt ex 5.1 onto like dt 240 hubs would be a light wheelset, I ordered dt ex 5.1 onto hope pro 2s should be here next week

240's on 5.1's are DT 1750's are they not?

Called EX500's now but yes 240 hubs and the EX rims are used on the 1750.
