Do ODI bumpers work to solve the problem with the 2012 demo and fox 40's hitting the frame?
You have to use the Specialized ones. What works best though is to use a Hope external headset cup to drop the lower clamp down so it misses the frame then you can use to Odi Bumpers and have decent lock.
Thanks, I'll look into that then! Do you know any of the particulars on which headset?

EC49/40 with the adapter to drop the lower bearing to fit the straight steerer.

Apparently the Hope EC49/40 headset comes with the step down adapter.

Hey! Does anyone know what size the rear thru axle is on a 2013 demo 8 s works? I need a new one, and can’t find them on the internet, and specialized said they don’t have one. And if anyone has one I would like to buy!

I have an S-Works also and was under the impression it was 150mm also.... now you got me thinking as I have never measured. I thought that only the Team bikes and replicas had the 135mm.....

Up until 2015 they are 150mm, 2015+ is 135mm
