Hey guys! Looking for some help. Want to convert my Chromag to SS, but don't have sliding dropouts. When it comes to chain tensioners I am having trouble finding one that can be used with a 20+ tooth sprocket in the back. Any input?
Try looking for an ISCG mounted chain tensioner. IMO that's a way better solution to tension a chain, than using a derailleur style one.
Could you make it work by using a Praxis type BB and clamp the tensioner in that way? I think it has to be a 24mm spindle for these, but just a suggestion.
follwoup, is it PF or BSA? you could look to use an EBB if you can find something suitable
Pressfit!
there should be a solution to your problem here https://www.firstcomponents.com/bottom-brackets/eccentric/
Excuse my ignorance, but what exactly is that? Looks pretty cool.
Edit: Nvm figured it out. That would be a great solution. However, I have to replace my BB every two months or so because Chromag made the tolerances too tight and I run through bearings like it is my job
