I'm 200lbs and beat on this air shock all season. No problem and no sign of wear. I'm not sure if my stock DHX5.0 was a lemond, but this Roco Air is a 100 times better.
Congratulations for the mods, the bikes look awesome and clean.
I am planning to install a DHX Air 7.875 x 2.25 to my 2007 demo8.
The main intention is to prevent that horrible "numb / dead" sensation at high speed from the DHX 4.0 commonly known.
I do not take big jumps, I normally visit high speed tracks.
How changed the bottom out characteristics of your bikes with this mod? In case of taking some air, how is the landing? Is easy to get a good setting between bottom-out resistance and kick-ish rebound?
Any of you would go back to the spring model?
Thanks in advance, and sorry for bringing this thread back to life.

Kind regards.
How changed the bottom out characteristics of your bikes with this mod? A: Its Better, rarely notice it bottom out.
In case of taking some air, how is the landing? A: My Roco air handles all the drops and air without any problems.
Is easy to get a good setting between bottom-out resistance and kick-ish rebound? A: If you tune it to not bottom out it will probably not feel as plush as a spring shock nor as responsive to fast small bumps. Thats the biggest down fall but if you're not raceing DH then it's well worth the weight savings.
