The only coil shock that fits it's the old Marzocchi Roco Coil without piggyback. I fitted it on my Meta and I'm rocking it without problems from several months!
Hey, I own a 2012 meta am size m And wanted to know if the cane creek db IL Would fit, has any one tried yet?
update: It does not fit
I wish I found this post a little sooner, I have just ordered the cane creek DB air Cs, I will give it a go to see if it fits but I'm not holding my breath anymore, looks like it will be getting returned ????
That debonair looks sick just tucked in there... Is there any reason you think Commencal lists the V3 as not being able to take a debonair? I've got a V3 coming in a few days and I'm very interested in upgrading the rear shock.
I think because of the tight clearances. It really comes down to how thick the layer of paint on the chain stay is because there is very little room when the shock bottoms out. I was lucky but I think it is different for each frame, especially because the paint is not that great. Plus when you run a dropper post, the can touches the cable on bottom out, but thats not that big of a deal in my opinion.
But I have seen a couple of other v3's running the shock without problems and that is why i did it. Little bit of a gamble but the chance it doesn't fit is not that big.
It transforms the bike! I have the MM tune instead of the ML which is already better for my liking, add some bottomless rings and its awesome.
Hi I'm looking forward to mount a monarch plus RC3 on my meta am 2013. Do you think it could fit? Thanks in advance
Great looking frame design, too bad it didn’t carry on for those who just like to have fun and jib the trail. If they updated the geometry and tweaked the rear end, I’d be all for a 140mm bruiser. Trail, park, fun….
