Dude, those things are sweet. There is no way you could break one of those frames on the DH. Plus cove is a pretty rare brand, at least in my area, so people will always wonder what it is...

Well one thing for sure is that all your suggestions are great. But i will only get a bike where i can bike it locally. So banshee morphine, transition vagrant, .243, rampage, balfa minuteman, evil imperial. So far those are my choices.

go with the rampage

I hear good things about the rampage, but i want to buy from a small industry. They seem to put more intent on the bikes, instead of mass producers like Norco and Kona.

yeh but norco is hand made in canada it a big distributing company but not a mass producer

Maybe in Australia they are a less common bike, but Norco dominates the Canadian market. I agree with him going with something else.

take a look at the Evil Imperial. it's so DH to dirt jump they give you 6 different goemetries depending on how big of a fork you out on it.

The evil is pretty nice, but very expensive. I think transition Vagrant is perfect for me, i have only seen positive reviews on it.

Is there a reason they dominate the market? I agree that small bike companies definately have advantages, but hey, no one can deny quality products from a large company, eh? If I am wrong, please reply!

that would probably be, because norco is a canadian company. i believe that most, if not all their bikes are made in canada (except perhaps the lowest end entry level stuff). so factoring in distribution costs, logistics and such, it would be cheaper to get the same norco bike here than in australia.
